Bocu in partnership with Shared Interest is supporting farmers from 2 primary cooperatives of Kinone and Burangwa with diversification through a passion fruit fully funded project that is being supported by Shared Interest one of BOCU’s Social lenders and this done through her Grant Arm. this project is aimed at improving farmer livelihood in this area and it will benefit more than 300 direct farmers and their families where a tune of more than 1000 members will benefit indirectly from this project.
Through this same project, coffee shade trees have also been supplied to the farmers of the same primary cooperatives and this improves on the good agronomic practices hence good coffee yield at the end of the season to finally improve farmer income.
